Peter Wislocki has worked for over 20 years as an architect, consultant, developer, lecturer and journalist in the UK, France, Poland and other countries in Europe and beyond.  Through Hedgehog Consulting, Peter coordinates the specialist services of a wide range of consultants, including architects, interior designers, masterplanners, space planners, structural engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers, traffic and transport consultants, leisure and hospitality consultants, cost consultants, project managers, health planners, finance brokers, real estate agents and valuers in the UK, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania the Russian Federation and other CIS countries.

 

Peter studied at Cambridge University, holds an MSc in Construction Economics and Management from the Bartlett Graduate School at UCL, and is a registered architect in the UK and Poland. Peter has worked in a number of design-led ‘atelier’ practices in London, Paris and Milton Keynes. Peter was a Senior Lecturer in architecture at De Montfort University, and has been a visiting lecturer and critic at several other schools of architecture, including Cambridge and Oxford. Peter has also contributed to numerous professional journals, including the Architectural Review, Architects’ Journal, Building Design, Architecture Today, A+U and Architektura Murator, and was a Contributing Editor of World Architecture. He has spoken at numerous conferences, made occasional appearances on television and radio programmes, is a member of CABE’s national Design Review Panel, and the Visiting Board of the Royal Institute of British Architects.

 

From 1999 Peter was a director of Aukett Europe, setting up and managing the firm’s businesses in Poland, Russia and Croatia. The Warsaw office which acted as a hub for these operations carried out projects throughout Poland and also in Russia, Hungary, Georgia, Lithuania and the Czech Republic. Following Aukett’s merger with Fitzroy Robinson, Peter became one of four members of the merged company’s European Management Board.

 

In 2006 Peter joined RMJM as Director of European Operations. In this role Peter was responsible for the management of the teams in RMJM’s London and other UK offices servicing projects in Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Azerbaijan and Georgia. Peter was a key member of RMJM’s London office responsible for winning the competition for Gazprom’s headquarter tower and surrounding masterplan in St Petersburg. Peter was also responsible for setting up RMJM’s Warsaw office, of which he became the Managing Director.

 

With his wife Lindsey Wislocki, Peter established Hedgehog Development, a property company specialising in niche market residential and mixed use projects. This business secured two significant projects in 2007. Peter now offers consultancy services through Hedgehog Consulting Services Limited to clients including international consultancy firms, professional practices, property developments and real estate advisors.
